It was about kiasuism in Singapore.

Yeah, everybody is kiasu nowadays.

Even people who have known you for a few years.

An example would be a barber.

He, one that has been cutting my hair for like 1+ year, is very kiasu.

When I was having my hair cut by another barber, I accidentally dropped $2 onto the floor while taking out my money to pay for the service.

Seeing the $2 note and perhaps thinking that I had not noticed it dropping onto the floor, he pretended to sweep the floor and came over to sweep the note onto the dustpan filled with hair.

I know what he did, because he, without emptying the dustpan, stuck his hand into it and took out something into his pocket.

Either he's a retard who likes hair, or a kiasu person.

I wanted to expose his plot, but though better of it and just stared at him for a few moments.

So never, ever trust anyone (except me, of course).

Today was fun(ny).

Finally there is a choir session that is not boring.

Today was a choir workshop with Jonathan Velasco.

Had Science lesson (which we begged Mr Lim to slack) and he showed us his collection of orchids (and students).

Then for Chinese lesson, ~~luckily~~ the teacher didn't come =D

Then went for recess where I ate chicken rice without chicken, and spent a freaking $1.50 on 6-7 dumpling balls and 10 minutes waiting for the $0.50 change.

Chinese New Year performance was next, where they showed a cycle of powerpoint slides, followed by performances by different CCAs and PRC scholars.

I didn't know Alvin could look very serious (although he looked kinda' funny).

I bet Jun Quan's wushu costume is soaked through with sweat.

Then came the most amazing part : standing up and leaving the cramped and stuffy hall.

Omg, yesterday's "choir practice" was so gross.

When I say gross, I don't actually mean "gross".

I mean "very very very gross until you will feel like puking".

Choir started at around 9.30 am and the newcomers were introduced to us.

Then we practised our songs for a while, then the "games" started.

First, my group (No. 2) started playing the "rope game".

Basically, we had to cross from one side to another side, through a messy entanglement of ropes.

Normal?

Only that the ropes were covered in ketchup.

Anyway, we succeeded and proceeded to the next game, the "octopus game".

We were suppose to sit (or lie down) on the ketchup-water covered ground, stick one of our legs into the air, and support a 3/4 water-filled pail.

Also, we were passed a long ketchup rope to stick it in our left sleeve and out from our right sleeve, passing the rope to the next person.

Naturally, we were grossed out and chose to forfeit.

The forfeit was to rub ketchup all over our face.

We did, and then we were sprayed by the water hose to clean ourselves.

We then went to the next game, which was the "memory game".

Our group was split into 2 separate groups (temporarily) and we were supposed to match 10 pairs of cards on a board full of cards. We were first given a 10 second look of all the cards, and then try to match the face-down cards. If we failed, we could get a second look by eating 1 chili padi.

We finished the game by flipping all the cards, which meant that we had matched all the cards. (Don't know why the other groups didn't try this easy method.)

Then we went back to the music room to measure our new costumes.

(I shall ignore the "waterbomb game" and the "bench game" and skip to the grossest game of the day.)

Too bad, the game is customised by changing only 1 thing : the ball.

A fish, a chicken and a cabbage was used to replace the ball.

All real and frozen.

The fish ended up with all its guts and intestines spilled, the chicken ended up decapitated and having its body ripped into 2 parts, and the cabbage, from big, to small.

But the nicest part was when I was throwing the chicken's upper body by the neck.

I could feel the neck bones dislocating from the body.

I went to the Esplanade today.

For choir's World In Singapore Concert (WISC) rehearsal.

I was supposed to meet Bryan and other Secondary 1 tenors at Ang Mo Kio MRT station's lift.

But, I didn't see anyone there, so I left.

I got on the train, watch people reading newspapers, and look curiously at a middle-aged guy playing Sudoku on the MyPaper.

I alighted at City Hall MRT station and saw some Anderson uniforms floating towards the ticket gates.

Oh wow, they were sopranos.

I passed through and saw Lucas leaning against the wall, peacefully reading a newspaper.

Peacefully, that is, until I came.

He was waiting for Amos.

As he was the only boy there, I leaned on the ~~wall~~ plastic notice beside him and stared at the escalator behind the control station.

Then, Altos came.

More and more Andersonians came.

Including Bryan and his "gang".

Then I remembered what he said yesterday when he called me.

Today, I woke up at 5.30 am, for a new adventure.

I washed up, changed, and proceeded to People's Park Centre on my dad's van with my mum.

We went inside, got 2 tables, and were shocked (okay, maybe not) at the crowd there.

I got bored and took an artistic picture of the restaurant menu.

Since our orders have not been served yet, my mum took the chance to buy some roti prata from ~~Aaron Kee~~ A.K. Eating House.

After eating the roti prata, I found a somewhat "interesting" picture.

After our stomachs have been filled, we went to the Kota Tinggi Historical Museum.

Today, my mum and I went to Marine Parade's Touch Centre for a meeting with my cell group leader.

We had a delicious lunch of nasi lemak (though the curry itself costs $25/packet) and we went to Katong Shopping Mall to play some DotA (Defense of the Ancients) !!

Because my two main characters, Kardell Sharpeye the Dwarven Sniper and Lesale Deathbringer the Venomancer, were taken already, I tried out Crixalis the Sand King.

It was pretty powerful, ~~though most of my "almost kills" were kill-stealed by my ally, the Dwarven Sniper~~.

So after that, we went to Parkway Parade to buy an Iphone rubber cover and we went home.

Today, I went to Yuki Yaki restaurant for my birthday buffet.

It was quite an experience.

The restaurant was a buffet restaurant (lol I just repeated it?!) which offers steamboat, grilling/barbecue and DIY ice-cream buffet.

Since it was my birthday, naturally I had all of them!!! =D

But I learnt that burnt and soggy food are really, really bad tasting.

It was nice, but I shall never ever go there again.

It was costly, not THAT delicious anyhow and really cold.

Lol.

Today was so ~~not~~ exciting.

The whole class went to a "pottery place" (at Jurong, I think).

We were first shown the "Dragon Kiln" (which actually did not look like a dragon, so I think the person/group who created it must be blind).

It was so long that it would have taken me 10 seconds to walk its length (30 metres).

We went inside it (wow) and Arvin went, "Oh sh*t I scared later I heat up the kiln because I'm so hot."

Which I continued, "Never mind lah, got me can already. Can cool down the whole place."

And Alvin was bending his head down, while saying, "Walau I too tall already lah!! OMG Yi Da don't come in here, no space lah!!!"

So off we went to the clay throwing part.

It was weird (I shall not mention anything else because it's too weird to be mentioned).

Then we went to watch a video, which the "instructor" said it was "short and sweet about clay".

The quality of the video (which I think was 10 years old) was ~~superb and better than Channel 5's High Definition quality~~.

The video also had a wide range of colours, including white, gray, black, white, gray, black, white, gray and black.

Then we had our free time, which we spent going to the "small little pond by the side".

There was a little caged hut, so I went there to check it out.

What I did check out was 3 dogs (1 beige 2 black) and that terribly stinky smell.

So I went off ahead with Zabidi, Wei Keong, Jun Quan and Alvin to a little plank which acted like a bridge.

I crossed it and on the other side, I swear I heard a noise that sounded like "hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo".

The noise probably explained why there were so many signs around the area which said "Beware of wild monkeys. Please do not feed the wild monkeys."

As we walked on the path back, Jun Quan saw a sculpture (which I can only say that it was a "work of art of the human body").

We exclaimed in horror while Jun Quan was thoroughly enjoying "appreciating" the sculpture.

We went back and told Mr Ng our "experience". The following was our conversation :

Us : OMG Mr Ng there's really PORN at the POND!!!

Him : Of course what... The pond sure have pond mah...

Us : Nonono, we really saw PORN!!!

Him : Yeah lah, of course you saw the pond at the pond, right?

Us : No, we saw PORN!! P-O-R-N, PORN!!!

Him : ..

Him : Never mind lah, let's go back.

So we went to get some snacks, which for Chester, meant a $3.90 Magnum ice-cream, for Arvin, a $0.60 ice-cream and for me, a $1.00 can of drink and a scalded finger.

We then proceeded to the "studio" to make some sculptures.

Another "instructor" told us that the clay would dry up and harden, due to our body heat.

Of course, this made Arvin say, "Aaah, I'm so hot that I will make my clay harden!! But never mind, 'cause Aaron beside me, counter my heat. Like Yin and Ang."

Then Jun Quan said, "What Yin and Ang?!? It's Yin and Yang lah!!"

Arvin : "But Yi Da said it was Yin and Ang leh!!"

Yi Da : "I where got say?!?! Haha Arvin you NOOB, what Yin and Ang?!?"

So everybody laughed at him.

After that, we went back to the bus.

Just as we were getting on the bus, Chester took out his "$3.90 Magnum ice-cream" from his bag (which was quite melted and disgusting) and started licking it.

"OMG CHESTER YOU HAVEN'T EAT FINISH THAT ICE-CREAM YET AR?!?!"

On the way back to Anderson Secondary, the "Singapore Expo Food Fair Exhibition" was inevitably re-enacted on the bus.

So after that, I had lunch at school and went back home...

OMG today was such a fun day!! =D

First, I went to church at Expo Hall 9 (and I got so tempted by the ice-cream stall).

Then I met my cell group members and had our daily sermon by a pastor.

Then we left the church and went to Paya Lebar MRT station.

And we took service number 43 to Marine Parade, 'cause we wanted to play basketball at the Community Club there.

Then we stood there like blind ostriches because the notice said :

"The basketball court will be under cleaning on 19/10/08 from 7.00 am - 6.30 pm. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

So we went off to "somewhere I don't know" and waited for what I thought would be (a limousine) to pick us up.

Funnily enough, TWO 4-wheel drive cars came and fetched us to...

There, we played street soccer until the rental time was up.

Wow.

Today's choir was comical.

Painful, too.

'Cause I started talking during chord-ing and Sebastian whacked me.

And we (Sebastian and I) were talking about Japanese anime and Indu's name was written on the whiteboard.

So, I came up with a new anime called "Induyasha".

Surprisingly enough, he gave me the "permission" to smack anyone (anyone except Sec 3s of course, I not THAT disrespectful) who was talking.

And I did.

Which made them angry.

After that, we finished a Japanese song (in about 3/2 hours o.0) and continued to an Indonesian song (according to Firdaus).

And the best (maybe not) part was that BJ (Biao Jin) got the chance to be the section leader and lead us in singing!!

For about 15 minutes though.

And then we were back to the very "kind and non-violent" Sebastian.

(Sense my sarcasm.)

Now, let me demonstrate how "easy" the song was.

Today, I went to Melaka!!

It was exciting at first.

'Cause all my mum did was to shop, eat, and sleep.

That's pretty much what all of us did.

But at least the lunch and dinner were at air-conditioned restaurants!! =]

With the curry and chendol. (And the curry was sweet, not spicy.)

Well, today, I got to sleep until 11am, 'cause I didn't have to go to church! =]

Anyways, I went to Serangoon Central to shop for groceries, then came back VERY tired!
($50+ worth of groceries!)

Whoohoo steamed chili crabs for dinner (and also a lot of junk food)!!! =D

And I am drooling 'cause of the Korean documentary!!!

Pork steaks, fugu, clams, salads, and steamed snow crabs!!

Gosh, Singapore and Malaysia's mud crabs can't be compared to those sea crabs!!

Ok, today something (bad) happened to me, which was..........(x10000) I FORGOT TO WEAR MY UNIFORM INSTEAD OF MY P.E. SHIRT!!! OMG!!!

And when I went to the general office to ask for a uniform shirt, I got scolded by Major Chong!!! So scary sia T^T

Anyways, he scolded me two times : one, for not wearing my uniform, and two, for not greeting him T^T Never mind, at least I didn't receive any punishment =D

The English and Geography exam so tiring sia, I wrote until my hand (and strangely, my whole body too) hurt D=

Wow, today was fun.
